I've got some good news and some sad news this week. Both stories are regarding SexSwap News. This week is amazing week No.300. I can't believe it. That's 6 years of tips, tricks, and a bunch of BS. :) It has been a roller coaster ride of fun. The Beginning days. The Gold Rush Days. The Dot Com Days. The Dot Bomb Days. And Now. Right now we are in a very mature industry with little growth. There is consolidation and cost cutting. I talked to Daniel this week and Gamma will be managing SexSwap Banner exchanges in-house shortly. Although I'll be sad to leave for a second time, I would make the exact same business decision as them. Because of this, SexSwap news will be ending at issue No.303 in the last week of June. I'll continue to venture in both adult and mainstream internet projects, I just won't be writing about them weekly. I want to thank you all for reading my stories each week =D I have very much enjoyed writing them. Next week I'll try and give a historical look back at some of my adult adventures from 95 til now will some had cash figures so you can hear the whole story behind the story :) Sure I'll be flapping my lips off, so take it all with a big bag of salt. :) We got this week and three more...mix the big bob marley rum and cokes, get out the flaming hot cheetos.

ROBIN NIXONS RE-EMERGES from Legendary Lars
The biggest news this week has to be the coup pulled off by Oprano. Oprano dug up and hired internet porn pioneer Robin Nixon. In SexSwap 8.7.99 Issue #100, I wrote "If you don't know Robin Nixon, your porn site needs a fixin' (a play on punk rock girl from the dead milkmen). Robin Nixon was the most innovative webmaster from 97 thru 00. He invented program after program that was unique, creative, and made money. He eventually sold out for a big chunk of change and disappeared to run some brick and mortar businesses in the UK. He turned up this week at Oprano. Keep your eye on him...he never follows the crowd and his ideas are gold.

Don't know if you've been on top of the AVS situation but the 500lb gorilla of the group 'Adult Check' recently announced it was going to charge VISA fees to it's webmasters of it's new 'ACPay' processing system. Originally they marketed the system as no fees but after a flood of new webmasters signed up apparently VISA pulled a fast one on them and now they have to bill the webmasters. I ain't seen this much fussin' since they stopped makin' tube tops. I'm sure Adult Check didn't mean any harm but it does bring up the issue of how we're all at the behest of the CC companies. Really sucks!

I first heard the story below when listening to "All Things Considered" on NPR yesterday. It is quite interesting and it is nice to see that one of the companies claiming patent protection is getting a taste of its own medicine. The online auction house is ordered to pay $35 million to a Virginia man for violating patents he filed before eBay launched. The September 2001 suit accused eBay of using Thomas Woolston's ideas to operate its online auction house without permission or paying him. EBay will appeal.
