This week Microsoft said it wants to take on google. A few hours ago, Yahoo said it is revamping and the description sure sounds like google. LOL It will be interesting to see what the search engine scene looks like 2 years from now. I personally don't see anyone dethroning google in that time. The only thing that can derail them is "going public" since investors and VCs would desroy them with nonsense demands. The latest news from google is they have livensed their search to Amazon! Could you answer a quick question for me? What conference or conferences
for the adult industry are worth attending? I am relatively new, more on
the marketing side of the business but not totally detached from the
technical, and the only one I've heard about is the Internext Expo.
Is it worth attending, and are there others that might be as well?

The biggest event is still "Internet Expo", held twice a year, once on the east coast in Florida, and once on the west coast in vegas. Vegas is the biggest event and is in January. The next event is August and is in Hollywood Florida. You can read all about it here

I was thinking about hiding my sponsor codes using an onMouseover, and was wondering if anyone did any testing to see if it affected their stats at all? Does it really improve clicks to hide your sponsor codes?

I have not tested this, but my personal opinion is that it will not help. There are two things that concern me about it: 1) you have added java to the page and I find adding any code always is another chance that some funky browser wont load and so you may lose 1-2% of surfers 2) inho, most clicks are noobs. Savvy surfers are already in the know. It is newer people that I feel click and so it does not matter either way. Again I have not tested these theories...they are jst my opinion and I think nothing is gained by hiding where the surfer is going.

Do you know of someone or some place that rates webmaster provders like hosts, web designers, ,traffic searches and such and such. A place where webmasters can provide feedback on providers the way eBay buyers and sellers do?

sorry but I don't know of any place that does this currently. There used to be a few in the past but they were always surrounded by conflict. They tend to use them for their own sites and then downgrade the competition etc. The only thing I know of is "asking around" and see who uses what or if they know the sponsor you are going to try etc.

Hmmm...sounds like something someone needs to start. I was thinking that Netpond kind of did a thing like that back in the old days. hee...hee...Perhaps it's something several webmasters could start cooperatively?

Regarding other webmasters' comments on PayPal new rules and tricks to overcome these changes, I find it somewhat uncomfortable to use loopholes since the intent of PayPal is inherently problematic and new rules and restrictions might very quickly be presented when PayPal identifies those loopholes.
