GOOGLE - HOW MANY PAGES OF MY SITE ARE INDEXED
Here is a google trick I just made up. Some of you may already do it and there are a few ways to actually do this. How do you know if your site has been indexed by google, and what pages did it find? Good question. I'll tell you the hard way first.

No.1
Go to the google "free search for websites" (an area I have always loved for sites) and get a login if you don't already have one.
www.google.com/services/free.html

In the top area called Site Search Option, enter your site url here
Enter domain(s) (ex. google.com):

then hit tab and in green letters, Google will say "There are approximately 27 pages for www.foo.com in our index" and so there you now know how many pages goole has indexed for your url.

There are two easier ways to do this. Go into advanced search
www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en

In the Domain ex. google.com , enter your domain, no www
then enter something in the "without the words" blue area...like 'SantaCaus' or 'zaazaazing", a word not in your site and click search and you will see the many pages of your domain indexed.

No.3
now for the pro level =) In the regular google search box type this
-zaazaazing site:foo.com

where zaazaa is not a word on your site and foo.com is your site. Click search and again, there are all the pages that have been spidered on your site and are in the google giant index. I was suprised to find that some of my domains had 2000 pages! and others had never been indexed. =) cool stuff.

CALLING ALL SUBVERSIVES OF THE GNUTELLA URL POPPER GUILD
I've published a few stories on url poppers over the last two years. One excellent tutorial was sent in by Mark a few weeks back

Craig the programmer and I have popper gnutella urls until we are blue in the face :) And we have yet to make 35 cents between the two of us. We have fiddled with Mutella, faddled with Gnut, and mucked about with BearShare. Here is the new problem as I see it. BearShare seems to dominate P2P and then now include a media preview window in their clients. When an url popper movie is viewed in the client window, there is NO pop and the movie freezes or pauses.

It takes time and experimentation to figure out which tgps are the best to post to. A good balance between the hits and the clickthroughs and conversions is vital. When I first started submitting galleries I was so happy I almost soiled myself getting accepted by the bigger TGPs. That was when I was using free servers. Since getting my own domains and paying bandwidth costs I have done a 180 on it. And it only took me one page to come to that conclusion. If you're using a free server though it's different.

I just wanted to start with a cheap server...it is not for my daily box...and it is easy to upgrade to P4 when I want to make it more robust...$60.95 ..cant beat that with a sharp stick for cheapness on a 1.7 gig and so I can live with that for a while. The box is mainly to feel out XP for the time being.

VEGAS TIPS FOR FIRST TIMERS IN JAN
it is almost that time of year for the big adult webmaster convention in vegas and I have started to get some emails on what to do there. Here are some of my tips. It would all depend on what you are looking for so keep that in mind..this is just an opinion..

many of the bar parties are packed or too loud to make new friends..so if you want to meet people...try events like some of these. I would also say to try and do events the first day or early so you make friends early on and then can meet up with them more the second and third days.

1. the golf event or ones like it....quiet fun and you meet a lot of nice folks out on the greens...a better way to meet people

2. private room parties.....sometimes you can find smaller amateur parties....I had a lot more fun at those than the big parties since you meet people and get to say high.

3. vegas shows with a small group of 8 or so. if you can hook up with a bunch of cats and see BlueMan group or Cirq De Soleil, you will have a super time and make strong business relationships with a small tight group.

there are plenty of big ego parties....they turn me off...invite only...what crap. I say try to find he events that are not dark and loud and you will meet people and have fun....then later get hammered if you like that and go to one or two of those parties.

and if you have neer been to vegas...I think you are in for a treat..it is a wild ride. My recommendation...I like the adult casinos....I hate the "family ones"
