This is the almost weekly
SexSwap News-Tips-Trix and it goes to all members of
SexSwap and SexSwap2 and AsianSwap and GaySexSwap and SexSwap2000 Banner

reviews for the adult webmaster. I perform all literary stunts without
the use

tends to
leave the reader in a state of bewilderment...you will get used to it.

TAKE THE 3 DAY TEST
Since 1998, I've tested sending traffic to more affiliate programs than
I care
to remember. Anyone remember GirlsGirlsGirls, or Netbabes, or
AmateurHardcore...man those are oldies. The one affiliate program that
I really
like now is "NASTY DOLLARS". I send 90% of the SexSwap traffic
to
BIGNATURALS.COM which is one of the sites in the Nasty portfolio. Nasty
pays
$35 - $40 a sign-up, every two weeks like clockwork. Ernesto is always
available to answer my ICQs and emails.
Take my traffic challenge
by sending your traffic to BigNaturals.com for three
days. I believe you will be pleasantly suprised with the results, just
as I was
and be wheeling the gold to the bank. Just look at what Jerry had to
say after
he gave into my continuous pestering to test Nasty.
Jerry writes
Andy, You were right. I just redirected all my traffic to the BN tour
today and
WHAMMO! Sign-ups are smokin'. Wish I did it sooner...took me a while
to get
over my belief that more sites are better. Yes...the front end sells
the site
not variety - gotta send em' straight to it. Thank again for all the
tips...you
da man.
Click here and take my 3
day traffic test. I believe BigNaturals will send your
current affiliate program home, crying for mom.

Well Well Well ..three holes

not get last weeks letter. 10 folks wrote in about it not arriving and
I
checked the email server stats and they said that 85.14% were delivered.
This

This looks like another hella
good week of stories and trix. Thanks to everyone
who wrote in on how to edit my registry....success! I am now not looking
at "the cartoon beauty of sexual intercourse" as a title on
all pages. BUT I
still have on challenge on that hack. If I right click on any page,
in the menu
that appears...there is my old friend "cartoon beauty of sexual

How in the hell do I get it out of that list?

I just readed the coolest
article in this month's Wired. I love all games of
chance: stocks, poker, and blackjack. Last year I talked about a great
new book
out called KnockOut Blackjack. This is simply the best book written
on playing
the modern game with the most mathematical advantage.
www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0929712315/ref=ase_taunt/
back in the 70's, a few lads
invented card counting and beat vegas at
blackjack. Ed Tharp became famous in the 60s for "Beat the Dealer".
The
casino's got smart and figured out how to catch card counters. If you
try
counting today, and are good, you will get banned in a few hours. Well,
today
in wired I read the most amazing story. 5 lads from MIT decided to try
it
again, They took blackjack to the next level. They used giant teams
of 5-10
players and each person had one of three roles: the gorilla, the big
better and
the spotter. The team would rotate in people so as not to be caught.
The teams
would use asians and foreign students as much as possible as to not
raise
flags. These MIT players got investors to give them $1M to play hardcore
blackjack and they returned 154% to the investors in one year. They
made over a
million in the 90s! The book is not on shelves yet but I had to pre-order
this
masterpiece of creative thinking. I never would of believed that the
modern
game can be beaten. The same is true for any business, brick and mortor,
or
internet....a new slant on an old idea can be worth gold. You just have
to get
creative. The book is called "Bringing Down The House".

SPAM ARREST
spamarrest.com/
Ah Ha! Here is a commercial version of the spam filtering system that
"The
Professor" wrote in about months ago. Instead of filtering out
bad messages,
you filter in good ones. This system them emails the person who is block
a html
link that you must click and then type a word into. This removes the
filter on
you. These are restrictive systems, but I have to believe they filter
at a
vantastic rate. My only fear are items like online shopping receipts
or domain
name renewal notices etc...things that you do not get often and are
not from a
person but automated.

REMOTE ACCESS BULK EMAILERS
from Jerry
Jerry asks
Do you know any bulk mailer programs for a Unix server with remote access?
If
not NT mailer with remote access? I have been looking for days and cant
find
anything.
Andy writes
hmmm, how about a listserv where you set the list as the bulk. I used
to do
this for the newsletter and it worked fine if the permissions are set
correctly...like a
LYRIS
www.lyris.com/
they have a test demo
For NT, you again could use
a listserv and then PCanywhere to the box
perhaps...or set the listserv up and then just FTP in the new lists?
Then
almost any NT mail server that allows lists wold work. We used to use
imail by
ipswitch
www.ipswitch.com/products/IMail_Server/whatsnew.html
Here are some additional
bulk emailers for NT. I am not sure how easy it is
going to be to find a remote access one. I would try the remote to the
box game

PASSWORD TRADING SITES from
Larry
Larry writes
I read your latest article on SexSwap and I was wondering what kind
of
experiences you may have had trying to sell memberships to these thieves.
I see
a lot of big sponsors listed in ultrapasswords and it seems to me like
it may
be more trouble than it's really worth. They are getting traffic, but
is that
traffic buying memberships? I've read some previous articles of yours
on
SexSwap and your "Feel free to write and ask any questions"
opened the door
for me. =)
Diana responds
I've not had any good experiences selling memberships to the thieves.
Many
of them are from countries that I've barred as far as trying to sell
to
anyway: Russia, Romania, Turkey, Korea, Slovenia ...
Some are from Germany, Greece,
France and the U.S. Even though I do accept
folks from these countries, like I said: The thieves aren't the type
of
folks who are buying. It may be because they're sophisticated enough
to
use programs like Crack (Unix) and WWWhack (Windows) that they figure
they
shouldn't have to pay. Don't really know.
As far as the big players
going for those accounts, I think it's because
they're so big that they can afford a smaller ROI than those of us who
don't have millions to toss around each year. In any business, the more
money you make, the smaller profit margin you can work with. For example,
grocery stores typically work on a 4% or less profit margin.
Small adult businesses ($10,000
or less a month) need to make more to
break even. Consider all of the monthly charges you have for content,
bandwidth, server space, advertising. I'm paying about 75% - 85% of
what I
make each month for the costs. That means that I'm pulling in 15% to
25%
in profit. If you make $4,000 a month with a 25% ROI, then you're pulling
in a grand. That's not enough to live on. If you've got %8,000 coming
in,
then the profit is $2,000 a month. Still not enough to live on.
But, if you're looking at
$100,000 a month in income with $75,000 outgo,
then you've got $25,000 a month profit. That gives you some extra cash
to
piss away on the password traders sites.
I still don't think it's
worth it. You're attracting unwanted attention
from vandals and thieves (real hackers don't stoop to breaking into
porn
sites). But, some of the big folks have a good handle on washing and
rerouting even junk traffic to make some extra cash on click-throughs
and
other partnerships. I don't.
Andy adds 2 cents
One other thing to remember Larry is that many password sites are poser
password sites. This is an old trick we covered a long time ago. You
could
create yourself a fake shell of a password trading site and then list
your
sites on it with broken passwords, or lots of your banners, or put passwords
that time out or send the passwords to paysites that are not really
paysites
but sites intended to sell cell phone accounts, email list data etc.
So be
aware that all password trading sites are not really password trading
sites...many are owned by big paysites.

HOW DO YOU SELL A DOMIAN
NAME from Nina
Nina writes
I'm wondering about one thing I think could be of interest for the newsletter
too. I don't remember I've seen this issue covered before. How do you
sell a
domain without risking being screwed by the person buying the domain?
(The scenario is two persons
long away from each other, unable to meet in real
life)
The best would be to get
the $$ first, then take care of the stuff that will
transfer the domain to the person buying it. But who will want to pay
up cash
before they get anything in return? This is very risky for the person
buying
and probably nobody will accept such terms.
The next best could be that
the person buying the domain transfer half the
money first, then get the domain, then transfer the rest of the money
after
domain is transfered. This is more fair for the person buying the domain.
The
risk is split 50/50. But this is risky for the person selling the domain.
If
the other person is a crook, you'll end up loosing half the money.
The best would be a method
that will secure all $$ to the person selling, but
with such terms that the person buying is guaranteed to get what he/she
pays
for and thus is willing to accept the deal.
I'm confused here... Do you
have any advice? Any smart method? I guess most of
the newsletter subscribers sooner or later ends up in this dilemma.
Perhaps you
could write a few lines about this in the newsletter and ask how others
solve
this?
Andy writes:
I think it is easier when you think of the name as a computer or hard
drive
being sold on ebay. The buyer pays first. The risk is generally more
on the
buyer. This is the most common form of transaction. I have bought and
sold a
couple of names in the 1-3k range and when I bought, I paid first and
when I
sold, I was paid up front. I suppose a person could go 50/50, but that
is not
as common. Just like on ebay, there are escrow houses that will hand
the
transaction for a fee to protect both parties. Many of the domain selling
sites
act as the middleman to protect both parties.
anyone have additional info
or differing opionions on this subject? Please

RE: IE REGISTRY HACK REPAIRS

Diana writes
That deviousness was done by modifying the registry of your Windows
PC. You can
blast that bit of nastiness out of your browser and out of the Windows
registry
by checking this URL.
www.spywareinfo.com/hijacked.html
If you're lucky, and your
IE homepage gets swapped, it is a simple matter of
twiddling the browser's options to get it back in line.
But as more and more unscrupulous
folks design Web pages, it's inevitable that
you'll stumble across a site that hijacks your IE browser. The directions
at
the site above are comprehensive. Read through them several times, then
take
your browser back.
For that 10 percent of the

who're trying to mess with your settings.

JAPANESE LINKING TECHNIQUES
from Steve
Steve writes
I was going to write you an email about the latest japanese linking
technique...it is pretty interesting, but I am not sure if I can explain
it
right.
Basically, it goes like this:
Around 20 amateur paysites
each link to each other. They use drop dead thumbs
as "blind links". Plus, each site is operating a top list
on the main page.
Each site is offering samples.
They list maybe 10 girls, and the most recent
ones have 10 or 30 jpgs. The older ones are only unlinked thumbnails.
It's pretty cool, since they
are basically pumping the traffic around in a
circle and giving you just enough of a tease to want more ;-) here's
an example
page: www.m-labo.com/n_home.htm
top and bottom thumbs are
traffic trades, on the right is a top list and on the
left are samples.
the thing that I liked about
these japanese amateur sites is...the
recips are all supersexy thumbs that make you want to click (kinda of
a network of 20 independent sites or so) and they all have a couple
of pages of 10-20 pics, so you know what you are clicking on will be
worth it. they are selling the sites through samples updated and the
old samples are unlinked thumbs...makes you really want to see what's
in the site.
of course, I don't speak
japanese and don't have endless amounts of
yen to join sites, so I just surf the samples...hehe
here are a couple of pages
that each link to samples and different
paysites:

WHOISE POPUP QUESTION from

Check out this trick. I have never seen anything like this. I did a
search

www.www.qwho.com
and when I got the
results I had a popup of the site that the domain is pointing to. It
doesn't happen with any other search results. Try this and let me know
if
this is something my browser is doing or if this is some new trick.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
WHOIS POPUP SOLUTION from
Mel
Mel writes
Hey Andy I figured out that trick with the whois popup. It's so simple
it's
almost funny. What you do is stick a window.open Java Script tag in
your
contact info with the registrar that you use for your domains. The tag
is
<script>open('melvista.com');</script>. I use my
site Melvista.com
so all you have to do is replace that URL with your choice and bam,
next
time someone looks up your whois info they get a popup. Notice I used
only
open not window.open, the reason for this that the entire tag is too
long
and you can not stick it all in the address field so eliminate the word
window, it still works fine. The best thing is that you can use up to
3
different popups just put a different tag under your registrant, admin
and
contact info in the Address 2 line. Pretty slick huh!

HD CRASH RECOVERY MAC from

Three days ago I had a huge computer crash/meltdown -- so bad the computer

the
thing kept wanting to be reformatted. Blech. What I wanna know is, have
you
been successful in retrieving stuff off of a fried harddrive before,
using
different repair utilities and what not?
Andy writes
well, I have not tried too many utilities myself. There is good news
and bad
news. The good news is that the odds are excellent for retreiving your
data,
using a service. Thebad news is that it will cost you $1000 - $2500.
I used to
be a mac dude in the early 90s and sent at least 2 HDs out to get the
data
recovered on CD. Average price was aroud $1500 each time. Also did it
once on a
PC HD. Here is a big recovery firm that advertises in the Mac and PC
mags
www.drivesavers.com
there are a few tools on
the PC to try some of the same things..on your own.
Not sure if such tools exist on the mac. If it would boot, you are in
dangersous zones. I would try this one thing. Can you boog off a CD
and access
the HD remotely? Or can you boot of a second HD and then try to access
the HD
and get to your data. If no, then I think recovery experts are your
best option
if the price is worth the price of the data.
