News Tips Trix

This is the almost weekly SexSwap News-Tips-Trix and it goes to all members of SexSwap and SexSwap2 and AsianSwap and GaySexSwap and SexSwap2000 Banner Exchanges. It contains information on SexSwap, Porn, Tips'n'Trix, and software reviews for the adult webmaster. I perform all literary stunts without the use of nets, safety-cables, spell checkers, or grammar fixers, and this tends to leave the reader in a state of bewilderment...you will get used to it.

I'm working the graveyard shift. Happy 4th Of July! since it is after midnight. I got back from the trip up north a few hours ago and I am slogginh through 397 spams mixed with regular emails and have it almost under control. I figure I better try and get the news out before sleep. Today the security was very strong at the airport. I bet we were stopped 4-5 times and I had the wand on me twice with no metal in any of my pockets. I also had to remove my shoes just before getting on the plane. Even with all the added security for July 4, things were moving smoothly and I think the pilots were putting the pedal to the metal since we left late and arrived early. A few travel stroies at the end....let me get right into the stories of the week.

I have a few cents about the big doggie story. I loved that site, but basically they got greedy...when everything was free, there was no problem and was covered by the constitution. When they started charging money, thats where the cops were able to get around the constitution. I do think most of it wont hold up in court tho.

WHAT IS A BLOG from Harry
Harry asks
I am sorry for being so out of touch, but what is a blog? Can you show me an example on the internet? Thank you for your time and assistance with the daft!

Andy writes
I had the same question a month ago. I don't know an exact definition but here are 3 rules that I find make for a blog.

1. It is a site where usually one person writes their thoughts and stories for many to read. One to many rather than many to many like a chat board.

2. The site is usually added to daily

3. In the old days, websites like this were written by html and uploaded to the site via ftp. Most blogs are driven by code where the owner goes to a web page and logs in via a user name and password and then enters data and the site is instantly updated.

These type of sites have been around for years but now have a name. I don't know if those are hard and fast rules but that is what I use to determine if a site is a blog. Here is a site that makes a blog script and the site itself is a blog

RE: PHONE SEX ARTICLE from Brad
My name is Brad Mitchell and I own SinTalk. SinTalk is one of the largest phone sex affiliate programs that caters exclusively to adult webmasters. The website has lots of information and links to 4 articles I've written on the subject under my educational section.
www.The SinTalk.Com

I work 'hands-on' with my webmasters to help them understand how to more effectively promote phone sex on their websites. The value in promoting phone sex online is that it's the only promotion that doesn't take away precious traffic. Since all one has to do is post the number it's a direct response advertisement.

THOUGHTS ON THE MARKET from Gerry
Gerry writes
Yes, the market has been brutal lately. I expect it to get much worse. Who knows how low it will be when you get back from you trip. The reason is that we have learned all past, present and future earnings are fiction. That means the PE of the stock market is way higher than anybody thought.

Instead of PE of S&P500 being an already high 22 maybe it is really a rediculously high 44. If so the stock market needs to drip by half just to make up for the fake earnings. It should realy come down even more because even 22 maybe is too high. Maybe it should be 15 or so. So the market should drop even lower still.

RE: PHONE SEX PAGE HYJACKED from Ken
Ken writes
I was reading with interest your response to Franz's question, "WHERE CAN WE LEARN MORE ABOUT PHONE SEX" in Issue #251. About 2 months ago, I got setup with 2 phone sex lines, and started to promote them. I figured it would be a nice add on to LiveCam & LiveChat stuff that I promote. So far it has been slow, but then I haven't given it a fair chance yet. I clicked on some of the links that you provided, and then WOW, YOU BLEW MY MIND. When I clicked on the link that said "Webmaster Opportunities" ( fadhil-online.com/clickmoney.html ), I was taken to MY web page. The only problem was that it was on someone else's site. SOMEONE HAD HI-JACKED MY PAGE. Complete with MY ClickCash stats. I created that page from scratch and put it on-line on Nov. 10th, 2001. My URL (the original and correct one)is www.seexsites.com/webmasters01.htm

So my question is, How did you come across it, and how did you come to refer to it?

Anyone looking to get into the phone sex business should contact Lori Parker at OmegaCash (1-888-284-1598) ( www.omegacash.com/ ). Tell her that Ken at Walton Publishing referred you.

Andy writes:
Yikes! I have had my pages hyjacked by crooks before, and it is never any fun at all. I am sorry that one of the links I listed was a hyjacked page. Here is what I think probably happened

1. I bet your page was placing very high on google
2. some crook saw that and copied it word for word
3. he submitted it hoping to place high
4. the words I searched for phone sex found his page after he had copied you

I was just looking in the engines for words to help people. I even wrote "re: starting in phone sex...I do not know how to do this. That market is sort of old so I am not sure what it is like these days. here are some links that might help" and I had found those on google in some quick searces. =) very odd and sorry about that. The record is hopefuly now set straight.

NEW ACCOUNTING from Gerry
Gerry writes
Here is an interesting table I found
bwnt.businessweek.com/core_earnings/2001/index.asp

Standard & Poors are recalculating 2001 earnings for all the 500
companies using a new method called Core Earnings. Most of the companies
have overstated their earnings hundreds of millions and billions
of dollars.

Check out

DUPONT overstated 2001 earnings by $4.4 BILLION
IBM overstated 2001 earnings by $2.9 BILLION
MICROSOFT overstated 2001 earnings by $2.3 BILLION
GE overstated 2001 earnings by $2.2 BILLION

and the list goes on and on. I heard on the radio today that 1000 American companies are having to re-calculate their earnings.

THE "PER CLICK" PER SIGNUP" "RECURRING" DEBATE from Dave
Dave writes
I've read more than once in the newsletter how you favor, (and tested,) payment by advertisers for "sign-ups" rather than the "pay-for-click" method, which tosses webmasters a few shekels for visitors who click their banner. I've busted my hump for bunches of different companies and sites, but I never successfully created a "sign-up" for any of them, save the ones who happened to visit an advertiser by clicking the banners at my web pages. Obviously, in those cases, I only collected nickels, while the big guys got the dollars, but at least I walked away with something. The sign-up sites took up space on my pages, and maybe copped some traffic, but there was no profit on my end.

Over time, I developed something like Einstein's Law of Pornography -- You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them buy any of the stuff. I contend that all I can do as a webmaster is to send an advertiser traffic -- selling people on the product after they get there is someone else's responsibility, and completely beyond my control. I can offer prime placement of banners and make them grab attention like a neon sign, but if the surfer gets to "Big-Boobed Momma Amateurs" and it's a dead-dog site, I've wasted space, time, and maybe some traffic that would have tossed their credit card on the table for someone else. For me, pay per click pays, when pay per sign-up doesn't. I'd be interested in reading what other's think.

Andy writes
well Dave, I have said time and time again that all pay systems are almost equal. I consider

per click
percent recurring
per sign up

all the same at the end of the day. It is again the basic laws of supply and demand. Affiliate programs will pay as much as they can on each method to try and attract the most webmasters and maximize their profits. Generally this means that the pay out for all three systems is basically equal. There is no economic reasons for affiliate programs to pay "per click" people more and "recurring less" or any combo. They all pay about the same and it all comes back to sign-ups. Affiliate programs offer many systems of pay since it helps bring in more webmasters since we all want different things. Generally, smaller sites like per click because they see results today, where their traffic levels might take them a week to get a sign up. Others like percent recurring since they feel this is most fair and they believe those false charts where they revenue takes the graph upward to infinity =) Then people like myself perfer per signup since it greatly accelerates the billing cycle, and prevents economic catastophy when an affilate program goes under.

If you agree with my economic theory, then the three systems are equal at the end of the day. There can be no other way around it. The only think I can control then, is the banners and traffic I use to send sites hits. Most per click progams heavily watch the sign up rates of traffic coming in and alter the rate based on this OR cancel webmasters that under perform. by doing this, they are really running a per sign up program with a few smoke and mirror for the folks that love cash per click. There is no mathematical way around this. It is all economic supply and demand.

IBILL PASSWD FILE TIP from D. Trees

THE TALES OF THE CANADA TRIP

RENTAL CAR SCAMS
I am about to pass out since I am still recovering from the time change. I'll do my best to babble =) We get into Toronto airport and pickup our rental car. The first big mistake I make is saying "OK" to that crooked rental car insurance. I was like sniffing glue or something...I know NOT to ever do that but I did it. $26 a day later! Is that crookery or what! Well my $30 a day rental car, after sneaky insurance scam AND mor taxes than you can shake a stick at, magicall became $650 for 5 days! That is $110 a day and almost 4X the advertised rate! I just checked Expedia and it was more like $50 a day...but in the end...that $50 became $100. What a way to run a railroad =)

The next scam they pull is the "compact". By Jesus, I want a damn Dodge Neon! Well every year I reserve one and every year they say "sir, we are all out of Neons so we are bumping you up to mid-size for free". I don't want that stinking Chrystler Sebring, I want a Neon. It is my opinion that they have no compacts and use that in the ads to trick everyone when only mid size cars exists =)

THE TALK ON THE RADIO
I always get a kick out of the canadian media since there are 3 things you are going to hear on the radio within 3 minutes of turning it on (assuming you are on talk radio or a news station). I will give you the first one which is the easy one of the three: "Hockey". It is 103 degrees F in canada in the middle of summer, but let me tell you, Hockey is going to be the lead sports story come hell or high water. This week was the stroy of some trades or drafts. My dad was on the edge of his seat and cursing over a Toronto trade and I expect much of Ontario was doing the same thing.

Can you figure out the second item? It is "Weather". The wife and I almost pee'd our pants listening to the radio since every channel could not stop talking about the weather. It was almost a "we interupt this station for a major news bulletin...5 days of sun ahead". Weatherman were besides themselves with glee. There were 5 rounds suns in the forecast. The weather really was awesome, but I have never heard people talk about the weather as often as canadian's. It is an interesting phenomina.

The third is a classis and many of you who live up north who travel north, may miss this subtle one. Since I come from a town where this was a daily occurance, I see this instantly. The third thing you are most likely to hear on the canadian media is "strike". Sure enough, Toronto Garabage workers wet out on strike the day we arrived. In my opinion, canada is held hostage by labor. These canadian garbage workers make...get this...$50,000 canadian a year. That is $30k US to pick up trash and they have the nerve to go on strike. I have always hated unions and believe they cripple economies. They were needed in the days of Henry Ford, but not today. Now in canada, there are all these sneaky ways to get around unions which I find odd....instead, there should just be no unions. Many of my friends either never get enough hours to be considered "full time" or they are working for contractors who work for the companies. Companies heavily hire contractors instead of employees now.

FUN SIGNS
On one of our ventures to the liquor store. Canada has simply awesome liquor stores with selection to die for and tons of great coolers. Well at the liquor store I saw one of those signs that flips and spins in the wind with one message on one side and one on the other. This was at the gas mart outside the store. Well on one side there was the classic "ICE" and on the other there was? Nope, not cigs. Not water. Not lottery tickets. Nope not BEER. It had the unique "WORMS". =) Get your ice, but please do not forget the worms. The town is a town of lakes and where there are lakes, there are fish. I wish I had the digital camera for a couple more. There was the moose crossing, and the one I always liked as a young lad "snowmobole crossing".

We swam. We had sauna's, We drank ales. A good time was had by all. We even played my favorite card game which I tried to explain last year called "Oh Hell". I just checked and I forget to explain the game last year! This calls for an emergency trick writing. More below

OH HELL - THE CARD GAME
here is a score card and rules of the card game I very much enjoy playing at the cottage. It might sound hard but it really isn't that bad.

trix.sexswap.com/oh_hell1.gif

Oh hell is best played with 4 players but you can use more or less. Just play as many rounds as 52 divided by the number of players. With 4 players, you play 13 rounds
3 players 17 rounds
4 players 13 rounds
5 players 10 rounds
and so on

you need to understand tricks and bidding like in Euchre or Bridge. If you don't know that, then this won't make much sense.

Each cut the deck and high card deals. Pass the deal clockwise each round to a new dealer. The dealer is always LAST to bid. One person should be designated as score keeper for match.

In each round, players receive the same amount of cards as the round number. In round one, each person only gets one card. In round 5, everyone gets five cards and in round 13, everyone gets 13 cards each.

Each player BIDS on how many tricks he thinks he will take. In round one, the players can only bid 0 or 1 since they can either take a trick or not take the trick. In round two, the bidding for each player could be 0, 1 or 2. In round 13, a player can bid 0 thru 13.

There is only one catch on the bidding and this is the whole key to the game and what causes players to go OH HELL! The dealer cannot bid in a manner where ALL players could wind up making there bid. This is best explained with an example. In round one, in a four person game, let's say the bidding was
Player 1 bids 0
Player 2 bids 0
Player 3 bids 0
Dealer cannot bid 1 since everyone could make their bid

or

Player 1 bids 0
Player 2 bids 1
Player 3 bids 0
Dealer cannot bid 0 since everyone could make their bid

or

Player 1 bids 1
Player 2 bids 1
Player 3 bids 1
Dealer can bid anything (0 or 1) since there is already an over bid and everyone will not make their bid already.

one last example in round 9

Player 1 bids 3
Player 2 bids 0
Player 3 bids 4
Dealer can bid anything except 2 since that would allow everyone to make their bid. Dealer can bid 0,1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 since that insures someone at the table will miss their target bid.

at the start of each round, after the dealer has dealt the cards, the score keeper asks everyone for their BID and marks them in the bid area.

the cards are then played with the person left of the dealer starting play. Each round one suit is TRUMP. Hearts are TRUMP round one. Play all the cards in normal fashion.

At the end, the players tell the score keeper how many tricks they made. If they MADE what they BID, they get a BONUS 10 points. All players, whether they make the target bid or not, get one point for each trick they took.

That is it. To summarize
1. play as many rounds as the deck with allow for number of players
2. after the deal, scorekeeper records bids
3. if you make you bid, score 10 bonus. tricks count 1 no matter what

STRATEGIES
the sluffer
try to bid zero as often as possible and sluff off your good cards

the hammer
try to bid high every round and take as many tricks as possible

mid range
try to just take a reasonable amount of tricks each hand

TIPS
it is easier to sluff when you have less cards early on

if you miss your bid, try to screw other players bids up OR try to take as many tricks as possible since they are still worth one point each.

Here is a great site that explains the rules as well and sometimes two explanations are better than one =)

HOW TO MAKE HELLA MONEY WITH YOUR TRAFFIC by Guru-O-Gif
www.nastydollars.com/

I send my traffic to the Nasty Dollars affiliate program, and the paychecks are excellent.
There are 2 reasons why.

1. CONVERSION RATIO
I love to test, test, and re-test adult affiliate programs. Right now, Nasty
Dollars is one of the best programs for converting my traffic. I love the way
they design their front-ends. They show tons of pics of the actual girls. They
have 4-5 pages deep of the girls (all asking for the sale). I love this style
of site since this is how I used to build my paysite front-end. Here is an
example with Big Naturals
www.bignaturals.com/main.htm?id=

2. PAY PER SIGN-UP
As you know, I love being paid PER SIGN UP. I like to "make the sale" and get
that cash in my hot little hand as fast as possible...then I can run out and
buy more Jim Beam and Flaming Hot Cheetos =) Nasty Dollars pays an excellent
$35 per signup. If you can move 15 sign-ups a day, they bump you to the awesome
$40 a sign up. This is great pay.

If you are looking for a new sponsor
If you are looking to test a pay program that can make you MORE CASH
If you want to try pay PER SIGN UP because you have always been percent
recurring

then I recommend you join Nasty Cash with me. Robert and Ernesto will take good care of you
