One other story that made big news last week is the arrest of the florida excort website. I stll cannot believe that in this day and age, sex is a crime. I find it almost unbelievably irrational. I can only hope that something good will come of this case. We will have to watch and see how it progresses in the court system. How brutal is this market?!

There are so many things I could write about but it would take me years so I will try to touch on a few...re reading old sexswap newsletters can also shed some light. I have tried probably 70% of them. Example. I made great coin in search engines, it died. I made small coin in bulk email..gave up on it. I made medium coin in usenet ads...died. I made good money way way long ago just with free pics...no one would care today. I broke even in attempts to buy words on goto and google. I eventually created a banner exchange and made good coin since it was one of the very first ones. A lot of it has to do with times change you said that you find chatroom traffic to be weak...so do most people...yet I met a guy last week saying he is making great coin at just that....he must be a master and he must be doing it in a way that people have not tried. I know guys who have grossed over $250,000 in chatrooms and most would say it is too hard to do today...they made their coin 2 years ago. 5. WHAT IS MY FAVORITE STRATEGY? some simple ideas that did really well a year or two ago were those pictures sites "am I hot or not". It is difficult to come up with such ideas...but these are the things that can be so good that they fly. I try to think of and try these ideas but only about 1/5 or 1/10 flies, so you gotta be able to take failure. now one of my old pals that I write about often in swapnews is Legendary Lars. He is a master of seeing great ideas before they hit mainstream. He spots great ideas and duplicates them before they rocket to popularity. NO INTERNET from Guru-O-Gif NOTE: when getting to screens with IP addresses and things...it is a good idea to make notes of things changed so we can change them back at the very end. 1. turn on both computers 2. disconnect the new computer from the DSL internet connection 3. connect the two computers with the ethernet crossover cable. The XP computer might say unplugged or plugged 100mbs at this time. 4. starting with the old
computer, get to the network screen...I forget how I got to this now.
I think you right click on Network Neighborhood and choose properties
and you will see this screen. click the IDENTIFICATION
and enter something like the only key thing above is the WORKGROUP..pick an easy to remember and simple name and we will enter it on both boxes. Click the ACCESS CONTROL tab and choose Share-Level Access. Now go back to the CONFIGURATION tab that is in the picture above and find the TCP/IP that is your ethernet card, maybe a 3COM you will be entering this
in the IP field then click GATEWAY tab and
enter this the number is one digit off..so on the old computer, the ip ends in 1 and the gateway ends in 2 5. click ok, but try not
to restart yet. if it forces you to restart, that is ok too. After that,
click my computer and fild your C drive. Right Click the C drive and
choose PROPERTIES choose SHARE AS C: and FULL access and I would leave the password blank if you can. And now restart if you have not yet. This computer is ready to go. 6. On to the new box. Since
it is XP and I don't have a copy, attempt to locate MY NETWORK PLACES
or something sounding networky and RIGHT CLICK it and choose PROPERTIES
and you will see this Try to find the LOCAL AREA
CONNECTION icon and double click it. and then choose PROPERTIES and
you will see the same thing as the picture above. Once againg, try to
find your TCP/IP network card ...probably a 3COM. Highlight it by clicking
it once and choose PROPERTIES and you will get to almost the same window
as on the old computer 7. enter in the stuff just like in the picture above. This time though...the IP and gateway both end in 1. when done...hit ok ok ok until you are back to the desktop. 8. now double click my computer
and right click on C drive and choose properties and then choose SHARING
and do this 9. close that and then try to find the old computer now! Go into network places and start clicking on things and look for the other computer. Maybe add a network place or try computers near me. This is where I got a little lost and just started clicking until I hit something :) You should find the C drive of the other computer and then can drag and drop files at will. If now, maybe try step 4 again and call the workgroup workgroup for the hell of it and restart ad try again. Also try the old computer to find the new box. It may work one way better than the other. 10. When you are done, go back to the C drives and turn the sharing off. Also go back and re enter you IP info as it was before doing any of this so you can get back on the internet. The old box it does not matter since it is going in a closet. The new box it matters since it needs the proper settings (probably dynamic) to get back on the DSl box and onto the net.
