I hope they are able to stabilize since this hangs the hopes of future launches. IPOs have been hammered into the dirt or been non existant since the crash. Google luanched new AdWords SELECT which is the COST PER CLICK arm of
their sales. Awesome! This link is getting
pounded today so it might take a while to come up You may recall that I tested Google a while back to sell cell phones. I loved everything about AdWords except the high initial costs. I was unable to make money since their lowest priced ad was something like 10 cents something. With CPC, if they make the minimum 1 cents, or even 5 cents, I think google will be the hottest thing since sliced bread. My how the mighty

and you are making $9K a month in the 5th month...WOO HOOO! it is just
that easy young Johnny. Holy fuck. These people are lost if they believe
their own pitch. This makes the fatal assumption that all sign ups stay
forever. When the true math is probably closer to 2 months. Calculator
please...4 sign ups a day $35 a month at 50% (sure there is a little
3 day trial fee too) On what planet do sign ups stay 4-7 months? NONE! and that is quite a range? You would think webmasters would know exactly if they did some math. Let's just pull some figures out our asses to show how this is not even logical. (4+7) / 2 = 5.5 months. Let's pretend in DREAM WORLD that customers stay and average of 5.5 months at a whopping $35 a month with $4 free trial. That means that the average customer is worth GROSS 5.5 X $35 + $4 = $196.50. Holy Lordy! Sell the farm Ethel, I'm headed to Beverly Hills! Wooo Doggy! This says the average customer is worth darn tootin, damn near $200 is gross profits. Let's now assume you have this affiiate program. I would have to figure that we could at least chop this $200 into 3 parts...$60 for costs, $60 to webmasters, and $60 to me the paysite owner. At the very least I think you can shop it in thirds. WHY THE HELL ARE THERE NOT ANY $60 PER SIGN UP PROGRAMS? The reason is because THIS MATH IS BULLSHIT. Customers stay 2-2.5 months. And it gets even worse...most affiliate program operators do not get 1/3 of the pie since to be competitive, they make money on volumes. At $35 a sign up, more likely a customer is worth about $74. $35-$40 goes to the webmaster, leaving $30-$35 to the affiliate to pay costs and make a profit from. There is nothing wrong with this. the only thing wrong is that many webmasters and some affiliate programs do not understand the math and accounting behind how they make money. I think this is one of the reasons so many companies have gone to 50%. I think they just don't know the numbers and it is a safer bet, and easier to finance if you only pay half of what is coming in. What does this mean? I am not too sure. This could be an opportunity, although slightly more risky, for affiliate owners. IF you are an affiliate program operator, and really KNOW your numbers, and have a BANKROLL, you can offer PER SIGN up and steal webmasters away from 50% recurring programs. One struggle to this is that many of the new webmasters I meet love to tell me I am nuts and that they are going to make WAY MORE cash than me by using the 50% systems since they are going to do four sign-ups a day and in only 5 months they will be making $9,000 a month =) The truth hurts. You heard the truth here again today. BANNERS IN PHOTOSHOP ESSENTIALS Here is the base
screen I am staring at I start by setting
all measurements to pixels and then size it to what I need which is
usually 468x60. I have not tried adjusting the 72 pixels/inch setting.
It works at this setting. I choose RGB and transparent on the bottom. In these new versions
you can tell a gif or jpg will be transparent due to the checkerboard
pattern on the drawing cell. I grab the type
tool and start typing words. You could draw or paste in pictures as
well I believe and still have it be transparent (but I believe there
would have to be no white in the pic). Some programs I used to use allowed
you to pic the one transparent color. I think Ulead GifAnimator allows
that and some other ones. This seems to just pic a default. You can
then color the text anything you wish. Perhaps you are trying to duplicate
the web standard defaults which are like blue, purple-ish and red for
link, vlink, alink. Well you can do that by typing the hex code in the
color selection area. I get this to open by clicking a square in the
toolbar area. I think those double square that adobe always has on the
floating toolbar would work as well. The default hex codes I believe
are YOU HEAR IT HERE

Pic2 is default, while Pic3 is google and Pic4 default
while Pic5 google. just a shade darker I had no idea. go
to their first page and view source and you will see. Why? Perhaps they
are trying to be just a little different than the average bear. Here
is another secret you need to try and find if using text. In photoshop
elements, I right click in the cell and then choose Anti-alias on. Otherwise
you get chunky soup fonts next you might try
drawing on the banner. Maybe lines or patterns or swooshes. You will
get a warning that you are merging layers. If you merge, you cannot
go back to type you can usually
find a tool or setting to alter the thickness of lines. see that the
top I have mine set for 2. You can play with all these switches. By
holding shift, most programs draw a straight line. For some reason,
Adobe loves this new BS "save for web". I prefer the old days
of SAVE AS but they dumb down the program for Johnny Q Public, or maybe
so they can splash on the retail box "has special save for web
setting". Goodness me. almost done. still
with me? here is a giant picture...maybe I should crop this. Look at
the top right and you will see the settings I prefer. You want to avoid
dither. If the fonts look jaggy, try a higher gif palette...the web
one seems to work well and we did choose RGB web friendly colors WooHoo! we are done.
it looks grey but is transparent. Try you banner on both a black and

Ken Shamrock....one of the most over rated no holds barred fighters of all time. An ego the size of Toledo. He always had skills but had no heart but he has legions of followers that believe he was and is the best. He left NHB to go to fake pro wrestling. He tried a return and got his bell rung. But now he is fit as a fiddle and going after DON THE PREDATOR FRYE. Don was one of the original fighters from the early days of UFC. He retired and went to Japanese Pro Wrestling. I never saw him fight live, only years later. He was considered to have the most heart of any fighter and won several gruelling championships. This guy is JUST TOUGH. I think he is an ex firefighter, ex real wrestler. He tried a comeback and in his first fight, the idiot he was fighting scratched the crap out of his eyes and was disqualified...that fighter is now hated by all. But in that fight, Frye once again showed he never quits and even blinded he administered some pubishedment. After the fight they asked what he thought of the eye gouge and he said "hell., I loved it...these guys mean business and it showed me I better be ready from the word go....heck...if they make any more rules this would be tennis. My eyes were scratched but they are ok now" ...no crying...said it like it was. Gritty. And that is just the MAIN EVENT! wait til the undercards!
